Agip KCO is responsible for the completion of the first phase of development of the giant Kashagan field, which holds some 35 billion barrels of oil in place and reserves of over 11 billion barrels beneath the Kazakhstan section of the North Caspian Sea.
The oil condensate and associated gas is treated at the Bolashak Onshore Processing Plant, located 40 km north west of Atyrau, Kazakhstan.
Bonatti, in consortium with a local general Contractor has been awarded the contract for mechanical construction of the gas treatment plant area.
Project highlights:
• Civil works 35,000 m³ of concrete
• Mechanical works: equipment construction 18,000 tonnes; piping 6,300 tonnes; steel structures 27,000 tonnes
• Bonatti has built on site a semi-automatic painting tunnel, 186 m long, in order not to stop the painting of the steel structures during winter time
