The works include several alterations to the existing plant as well as new constructions in order to maintain/increase production of crude oil, which would otherwise be lessened due to the greater quantities of associated gas in the field. The four existing production lines will be suitably modified to ensure the production of around 110 thousand barrels per day of crude oil and an increase in associated gas production of 1 million 650 thousand standard cubic metres per day.

The contract also includes:

• the realization of a new treatment line for the greater amount of gas produced, including all the purification plants to eliminate CO2 and H2S designed to ensure atmospheric discharge that is well within the permitted limits;

• the realization of a new station to inject water back into the soil in order to maintain production at the forecast levels over the coming years.
