HSE

At Bonatti, we are fully conscious of the ethical and indisputable obligations of a modern contractor toward HSE.
As a consequence, we adopted an “HSE-Steered” approach to the performance of our job.

Our OHSAS 18001 and UNI EN ISO 14001 certified HSE Management System are the tools that we use to put our convictions into action.

The core part of our HSE Policy states:
All Bonatti’s employees and our subcontractor’s employees are entitled to and have the responsibility to stop work, if they feel that such work is being performed under unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions.

This statement is backed by a system for reporting hazardous situations using escalation that authorises the employee to involve his superiors, all the way to our Company Top Management, if his observation is not taken into consideration by his immediate supervisor in a proper and timely manner.

This “Stop Hazardous Work” attitude is sustained by a wide-ranging HSE program that features several procedures designed to establish our proactive HSE culture.

  • Our 2011 Corporate Safety Indexes: LTIF 0,25; TRIR 0,64 *
  • Our 2012 Goal: achieve LTIF 0,20 and TRIR 0,50

*LTIF=Lost Time Injuries X 200,000 / Man Hours Worked
TRIR= Total Recordable Injury Cases X 200,000 / Man Hours Worked
