Plant Construction
Over the years Bonatti has continuously increased its experience in plants construction by working on complex projects both in Italy and abroad.
This experience has allowed Bonatti to be one of the main players in the Oil & Gas and Power Plants construction sector in the countries where we are present.
With the use of its own personnel and resources, and sub-contractors for specialised activities, Bonatti is in a position to provide multi-disciplinary construction services for the plants construction starting from constructability studies to pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of various systems.
The company’s main experience is based on the following activities:
- Execution of civil construction works for plants including the erection of steel structures;
- Prefabrication and assembly of piping systems;
- Assembly of pressure equipment, rotating and alternative machinery;
- Complementary activities: painting, application of anti-corrosion coatings, fire-proofing and thermal insulation;
- Assembly and erection of electrical and instrumentation systems;
- Pre-commissioning of plants and systems.

In order to reach these achievements, Bonatti is supported by:
- An operational centre based in Parma, consisting of managerial staff, construction engineers and planners. As soon as a new project has been acquired, their job is to develop constructability studies, plan the work phases and define the organisation of the construction-site, mobilization plans and sub-contracting strategies.
- The knowledge of all the issues which rise by implementing construction projects located in remote areas and/or in extreme weather conditions (from the desert in Libya, Saudi Arabia and Algeria to the steppes in Kazakhstan).
- A vast fleet of construction equipment and machinery.
- The experience in looking to the local market for recruiting and training local labour and/or the ability in reaching agreements with local Partners.
- Construction site organisational skills which are trained to meet the Contract commitments and are results-oriented in terms of deadlines and Quality and Safety requirements.
- Support from the other Business Units and/or companies in the Group, which offer their own particular skills (building and infrastructure, pipelines, multidisciplinary engineering, E & I).
